Precise Defect Identification
The Optyx sorting platforms are characterized by exceptional color, shape, size and texture recognition. High resolution Vis/IR, Tri-chromatic, or UV cameras ensure even the subtlest defects are identified and targeted for removal increasing quality.

Precise Removal of Defects and Foreign Material
The intelligent ejection system features precision pneumatic-based valves with exceptional response time for pinpoint accuracy. Unparalleled yield improvement can be achieved with the optional three-way sorting.

Intelligent Sorting Advanced object-based image processing allows FMAlert™ to track foreign material providing you with a digital record. Custom algorithms determine shape, length, width, curvature, symmetry, circularity and other special characteristics improving quality.

Using cameras, Optyx recognizes the size and shape of each object, as well as millions of subtle color differences.

As the product passes through the sorter, it inspects it from above while on the conveyor belt. The product is then moved to the end of the Optyx conveyor for an overhead view from below.
Using proprietary image processing technology designed specifically for dates, the sorter quickly analyzes the images, comparing each item to previously defined standards as accepted or rejected.

When the sorter identifies objects to separate from the main product section, it activates the ejector system, comprised of a series of air valves that reach the full width of the system. As the air is expelled, the valves identify each object to be separated and removed from the main product section.
